Wings over Homestead Air Show

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MEDIA CREDENTIALING AND COVERAGE INFORMATION FOR WINGS OVER HOMESTEAD AIR SHOW, NOV. 7-8

HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. – South Florida media organizations are welcome to attend the Wings Over Homestead Air Show on Nov. 7-8. Please RSVP with names of those wishing to attend to 2nd Lt. Erik Hofmeyer at Erik.Hofmeyer@homestead.af.mil for access to media parking area and credentials.

Media are also welcome to attend the following events on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 5-6, leading up to the air show. Please call the Public Affairs Office in advance for an escort onto the base on both days.

Thursday, Nov. 5

-U.S. Thunderbirds demonstration team F-16s scheduled to land at 2:50 p.m. at Homestead Air Reserve Base. Planeside interviews with the Thunderbirds and Brig. Gen. William “Blaze” Binger, 482nd Fighter Wing commander, will be available.

Friday, Nov. 6

-Media welcome to attend performers’ practice runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

-The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are last practice performance starting at 2:30 p.m.

-Other performers include F-18s, F-15s, A-10s, GEICO Skytypers, and many others

Directions

To enter the base, pull into the front gate with the blinking red light. A Public Affairs representative will be there to escort you to the media parking area. There you receive media credentials.
